There’s No One Home

This quick sketch is from my first powerful experience with art therapy. It was through this sketch that I found a way to connect with and process some childhood trauma I was previously unable to confront.

It truly blew my mind when my therapist asked my why there was nobody at my home, no one looking out for me. I didn’t even realize that I drew my home in that way until questioned. It was in that moment that my creative practice was forever changed, it could be to process feelings and not just “make things”.
