Hand Carved Spoon

Woodworking was my favourite class when I was a teenager. I’ve always loved working with wood and I moved away from it in adulthood. When I found a studio that specialized in woodworking for women, I knew this was an opportunity to reconnect to that part of me.

I wanted this spoon to have wave and movement, completely unlike something you would find in a store. This was an exercise in discovering not only what was hiding within this block of wood, but also a forgotten piece of myself.
